everyday christmas.

can't believe that it's been 9 months since my precious, sweet, adorable, hilarious, quirky, lovable, amazingly content, happy little boy entered this world.  he has already made it a better place.  how did we ever live without him?!  so thankful for this privilege.

recent photos.

life do get daily.

february has been a crazy busy month...james has been traveling ALOT.  stetson continues to change on a daily basis...he is so much fun.  he is babbling all the time but his babbles are becoming more enunciated...he says da-da but we're not sure if he knows what he's saying.  he finally rolled over from back to front after months of waiting and working with him...he rolled the other way at 4 months.  the good news about that is he can finally get himself in the position he likes to sleep...on his stomach.  so he rolls all around his bed and talks until he's ready to go to sleep and then he usually turns over.  he goes for his 9  month check-up next week.  i'm anxious to see how much he's grown.  he's not trying to crawl yet...he tries to reach for things but hasn't actually tried to move.  i was getting stressed out about it because everywhere i go people ask me if he's crawling but after a few other moms told me about their experiences, i finally let it go and am trying to enjoy this last bit of time that i don't have to chase him.  he also decided last friday that he wanted solid food for lunch instead of formula.  until then he had been having cereal and baby food for breakfast and supper and 2 formula feedings in between.  but that day he wouldn't drink his formula and was whining like he was hungry.  so i tried some food and he at more than he usually does at breakfast or supper.  so now he's eating food at breakfast, lunch, and supper with an afternoon sippy cup of formula.  he still loves baby food and cereal and when i have tried a little bit of real food (a tiny bit of a grape and a strawberry) he hated it.  he loves those little puffs, though.  and fed himself one last week for the first time.  he can't do it every time but he's working on it.  what i have been amazed at is how much he seems to understand...like if i tell him no, he will stop whatever he's doing.  the only 2 things that really make him mad are wiping his mouth after he eats and putting a shirt on over his head.  but every time he starts pitching a fit i tell him no and now he will sit still and let me wipe his mouth.  now i know all you moms who have older kids are thinking oh, you just wait...and i know this is the beginning of many battles of the wills...but one day at a time.  i just didn't think he would actually respond at such a young age.  all in all, he's just a joy to have around.  every day i feel so blessed to have him.
